Streets of Paris: Eco Quarter Boucicaut

There are numerous roads, squares, gardens, a metro station …and a defunct hospital in the 15th and 7th arrondissements named after the Boucicauts – Aristide and Marguerite – founders of Le Bon Marche in 1852.

Magaritte had bequeathed her fortune to philanthropic causes including the funding of the Boucicaut Hospital on Rue de la Convention, opened in 1897.

Today the hospital and its grounds are the heart of an environmental and sustainability project called Eco Quarter Boucicaut. William takes a stroll around it in this week’s episode of Streets Of Paris.
