Lots of track renovation works are affecting the Paris rail network this summer. Be particularly careful if you need to fly out of CDG on Aug 12-13-14, as no train at all will be running.
In town, metro line 5 and 7 are severely affected around Gare de L’Est, which should be avoided at all cost. Lines 6 and 12 will be partially closed in August. Tramway T3 will also stop most of the summer and replaced by a bus service.
RER A continues its summer works, this time in the West, and after 10pm elsewhere. As always, RER C is suspended in the city until Aug 26.
Line 14 is completely suspended July 29-Aug 11, as tests are being performed to extend it to the Orly Airport.
Some good news finally, RER E is now entering its testing phase between Haussmann and Nanterre. In about a year, Gare du Nord and La Defense will be about 10 minutes apart. A Revolution !!
